Marcus Page - IGA Introductory Course
Marcus Page is the convenor of the Brighton Introductory Course in Group Analysis, accredited by the Institute of Group Analysis.
This 30 week course was founded in Brighton in 1991. The course develops self-awareness and theoretical understanding of group process to increase knowledge and skills of professionals in a wide range of settings. Theoretical aspects are taught in seminars and students join an experiential small group that meets throughout the course. All tutors and small group conductors are IGA trained Group Analysts.
The understanding of dynamics of small and large groups, and learning to manage oneself in the presence of others, has been found helpful by health service doctors, nurses, psychologists as well as counselors, voluntary sector workers, teachers, personnel managers and organizational consultants.
The course consists of three terms of 10 weeks from October – June and takes place 5.00pm – 8.15pm on Wednesdays at Community Base, Queens Rd , Brighton .
